Founded in 2008 and based in San Francisco, LOYAL3 was a financial services company with a mission to democratize the stock market. The platform allowed everyday investors to buy fractional shares of their favorite brands with as little as $10, completely free of commissions or fees. A key feature was its "Social IPO" program, which enabled companies to offer shares directly to their customers and fans during their Initial Public Offering. In May 2017, LOYAL3 ceased its brokerage operations and all customer accounts were transferred to FolioFirst, a service of Folio Investing.
